About TAMH
“Talking About Men’s Health” (TAMH) is designed to provide a platform for the discussion of a wide range of issues effecting boys, men and their families.
As Editor in Chief, I developed goals to which you can expect from reading TAMH. Please understand that not every blog can tackle these four goals I laid out for the writers, but hopefully you will be able to identity at least two aspects. TAMH’s four goals are Empowerment, Knowledge, Policy, and Reality. I expect our blogs to empower boys, men, and those surrounding them to step up to the plate in addressing their health issues, adopting small lifestyle changes, and/or supporting and discussing health policies and research. Our blogs will build and develop our readers’ knowledge in mixture of something informative, enlightening, and entertaining ways. Our blogs will discuss the latest policy. Lastly, I want our readers to remember reality. Things don’t happen over night and that we all need to progress towards a healthier and supportive lifestyle.
I read different health blogs, which update daily and they are all over place with the latest health policy news and other related news. It can be tough to keep up with everything due to the vast amount of blogs on the internet, so I decided that TAMH should focus on quality rather than quantity. TAMH is a weekly blog site (targeted to update every Monday) that will offer a diverse set of topics in a month’s time about men’s health and those surrounding them.
A wide range of topics are open for discussion, including (but not limited to):
- Medical Issues
- Medical Treatment
- Medical Research
- Public Policy
- Access to Care
- Domestic Violence
- Parenting
- Education
- Family Issues
- Lifestyle Issues
- Substance Abuse
- Fitness
- Well-being
- Workplace Issues
- Sports Issues
- Alternative & Complementary Treatments
Please leave comments on our postings as the writers love to engage in conversions about their pieces. Feel free to contact me if you like to write a piece or suggest a piece for TAMH, or just want more information.
Thanks for stopping by TAMH and I hope you will learn, be empower, be inform, and simply enjoy from reading our pieces each week.
