Celebrating Men’s Health Month with the State of Men’s Heart Health Webinar

In celebration of Men’s Health Month this June, Million Hearts® and Men’s Health Network have organized an informative webinar on the State of Men’s Heart Health. It will take place on Monday, June 3, 2013, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. ET.

If you are a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, dietitian, public health professional, community health worker, representative of a health care system, or member of an organization interested in improving men’s heart health, then the webinar will be of particular interest to you.

The event is a unique opportunity to learn about the current status of men’s heart health in the United States, discover effective tools and strategies for involving men in improving their own heart health, and gain insights from the perspective of a male heart attack survivor.

The webinar will feature distinguished speakers, including Janet Wright, MD, FACC (Executive Director, Million Hearts®); Thomas Frieden, MD, MPH (Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention); Salvatore Giorgianni, PharmD (Scientific Advisor, Men’s Health Network; Chair, APHA Men’s Health Caucus); Justin Sparkes, DO (INTEGRIS Family Care Clinic, Edmond Tulsa, OK); and Roosevelt, a heart attack survivor from CDC’s “Tips From Former Smokers” campaign.

Those interested are encouraged to register here. Men’s heart health is a largely ignored topic, and this webinar aims to encourage education and awareness around improving the current state of men’s heart health in America. Don’t forget to tune in and get a heart-healthy dose of men’s health!
