Four Anti-Inflammatories That Are Changing Men’s Healthcare

Anti-inflammatories can help protect against a variety of health conditions, specifically for men. It would seem that as men age, they are increasingly prone to both acute and chronic inflammation. A gym session may leave arm tendons irritated and swollen, but they calm down with a little ibuprofen and rest. Inflammation of the organs, cells, and joints can complicate the issue. This type of swelling is often unseen, unfelt, and unknown. Fortunately, certain foods and supplements can help to decrease swelling and maintain health.

Fruit

Pineapples are a super food. They contain a mix of vitamins, antioxidants, and enzymes that does wonders for inflammation throughout the body. As a bonus, they help to protect against colon cancer, arthritis, and macular degeneration. Your large intestine, joints, and eyes will be thanking you as loudly as your inflammation-free organs. Eating forty-five or more cherries per day can lower the risk of bursitis, arthritis, and gout. Bursitis occurs when the fluid-filled pads that act as joint cushions become inflamed. Similarly, arthritis takes place when an actual joint is irritated from age or overuse. Gout is a form of especially intense arthritis when joints are swollen and red with pain. Sounds like it’s time to find the cherries in the produce section.

Cannabinoids

Cannabinoids (including CBD) are quickly becoming a recommended anti-inflammatory. They are revolutionary, and the benefits they have for the body are incredible in many respects. Many companies, like High Country Group LLC, know that they have been found to play an important role in the regulation of the immune system. They help the body by suppressing natural inflammatory responses throughout the body. The endocannabinoid system within the body uses these chemicals to suppress inflammation, via its lipid-based neurotransmitters. Thankfully, more and more research is currently being done on these effects and more, various benefits to the human body.

Turmeric

Turmeric, in its yellow-orange glory, can make your mouth feel like it’s exploding if eaten alone.  However, use it to season your favorite Indian or Thai dinner and you can reap all the benefits it has to offer without the bite. It keeps swelling down throughout the body and serves to decrease the risk of tumors, arthritis, and the risk of plaques growing that are associated with Alzheimer’s disease. You can even get capsules of it to use as a health supplement.  It has the remarkable ability to suppress inflammatory responses at a cellular level.  Not bad for a spice.

Walnuts

Not only are walnuts tasty to eat, but they also boast a high number of omega three fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamin E. The combination of nutrients serves to decrease prostate and breast cancer risks, and protect against heart disease, type two diabetes, dementia, macular degeneration, metabolic syndromes, and even stress.

Simply by going to the grocery store, men are able to purchase a variety of different options for anti-inflammation. By incorporating these foods and supplements into a regular dietary routine, the risks for acute and chronic inflammation decrease significantly.
