Men Know More about What’s under the Hood (of the Car) Than What’s in Their Underwear

According to a recent study by Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor in Britain, 90 percent of men can locate important parts of a car engine—and if something’s not right with the car, the guys are confident they can get in there and figure out what’s up. But only half of men say know enough about their own nuts and bolts to identify the part of their body that produces sperm. Even worse, only six percent of men can correctly identify the most common causes of erectile dysfunction (ED).

Up to a third of guys said that hot weather, tight jeans, or spicy foods were the main cause of ED. When it came to sexually transmitted diseases (STD), men were just as lost, with only a third being able to identify the most important symptoms. Three percent said a symptom was decreased penis size and five percent said dehydration.

Those last two answers might actually be funny if it weren’t for the fact that STDs are on the rise and men 15-24 are especially at risk.
