We often think that when two people become a couple, each one has the other’s best interests at heart. And while that may be true in many areas, did you know that married couples are more likely to be overweight or obese that single people? Yep. Turns out that couples tend to adopt each other’s bad habits—especially when it comes to exercise and diet. Some of the problem could be that while a couple is dating, they’re doing everything they can to be as attractive to their partner. But once they’ve moved in together, they don’t feel the same pressure to impress, so they skip a few workouts here and there, have an extra candy bar or order of fries, Over time, the pounds build up and the risk of developing high blood pressure and cholesterol, diabetes, heart problems, and many other health issues creeps higher and higher.
